Taking the decision to order a dedicated painting is uncommon.
The artist suggests to think with the collector about the painting guidelines beforehand.
The selection of the painting's features is the aim of the first meeting. The painter may help you to define your expectations and clarify as precisely as possible the particularities of your project.
In this way, these are the questions that matter most:
- For what purpose the painting is ordered? Is it for private purpose or designed to be offered? If so, is it a present for a birthday? A wedding? A relocation? Or a business gift?
- Which distinctive features you select for your painting?
- The painting layouts: Portrait, Paysage, Square, Double Square, Panoramic.
- The range of possibilities is huge, but the minimum is 20cmx20cm and the maximum 200cmx200cm. If you don't know, think about the wall you intend to hang your painting on.
- Are there colours your eyes have a preference for?
- Thinking about a photograph. The artist works on the basis of a photograph. A short photograph session is possible in situ.
- What is your deadline? Every painting order depends of many things: the dimensions, the delivery of the frame, the oil paint drying. For a present, it is important to anticipate the time constraint to meet the deadline.
- Where is the wall for the future hanging? Is it in a house? an apartment? an office? a store? a boutique?
- What are the dimensions of the wall? The painter can provide pieces of advices to optimize the painting positioning and the best dimensions you can select for. Moreover, you have to pay attention to the sun lighting of your room. If beams of light are occasional, you can change the colours of your painting to be more suitable to the atmosphere.
The second meeting is the delivery time.
The painter is always pleased to hang his work and contemplate the final configuration.
