I am not a professionnal painter, but I always delighted to dabble in drawing and painting during free time.
The draft of an artistic projet became clear in 2020 when people spent many long days shut during the first lockdown.
Despite the context, it was a uncommon time to think about its life as a city-dweller.
Everybody is over-connected to internet and their screens but the real world is outside.
During that time, people rediscovered towns from their windows, looking at irreal views of empty spaces.
Most of their time, town-dwellers interact with each others outside, in restaurants, museums, offices, etc...
When we were wholly confined last year, people became aware of the strangeness of well-known empty public areas.
Contemplating the city from my window is the topic of my artistic project.
I consider this experience as a learning process to relearn the act of Seeing.
The artistic target of UN TABLEAU DE MA FENETRE is to transcribe on a canvas the view of your environment as you see it.
Exchanging with me about your view of it, enlightens the coming process of painting.
It also guides the way I take photographs.
